9 Tips to De-Stress Your Move
Moving can be an exciting time when it's a in response to job or family growth. You'll want to make new friends, so don't be afraid to introduce yourself to new circles of people at work or school. Is your company starting a co-ed league? Join them! Volunteer at local events and charities. Getting socially integrated will help you make friends and contribute to your new community in a positive way.
8. Establish new routines.
With a move typically comes major changes in your life and that includes your routines. Maybe your commute is longer or maybe your work hours have changed. This goes back to preparation. Be prepared to adjust after your move and your preparation will help to remove stress.
9. Think of the move as a new beginning, not an ending.
The only thing constant in this life is change. By preparing and being open to it, you shift your thoughts from one of worry to one of empowerment. A small change in your mindset will make all the difference when you relocate. Remember, enjoy the journey because you simply never know what blessings coming your way.
